For ages 4-10. 4 year olds must have taken at least one session of Learn to Skate.
Boys and girls welcome. Free equipment rental.
Equipment fitting may be scheduled prior to the Free Introductory Session by contacting Hugh Miller at nkic@fuse.net.
Equipment fitting prior to first session is required. This is available now and is recommended to be completed by the week prior to start.
The Instructional Program (IP) is an introductory program designed to teach beginner skating skills, basic hockey skills, and a love of the game of ice hockey.
The Fall session will be split into three groups by age and ability. 4-8 year olds will be in one group, with older kids divided among the other two groups. All groups will have 2 cross-ice games on the main rink. Players may also advance to the Mite Division for the Winter session beginning in January.
Wednesday practices from 6:00-7:00pm
January 6, 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24.
1st Saturday game January 23 11:30-12:30pm
2nd Saturday game February 27 11:30-12:30pm
All players must register with both USA Hockey and NKYHA
First, register with USA Hockey online at https://www.usahockey.com A yearly fee of $51.00 is in addition to the NKYHA fee. Players 6 yrs and under are not charged the USA Hockey fee, but still must register with USA Hockey.
Then, with a completed USA Hockey registration number, go to www.nkyha.com and complete the online registration with NKYHA. Payment may be made online via Auto Check or Credit Card, or in person at the rink via NKYHA drop box (Physical Check Only).
It is necessary to register online with NKYHA regardless of payment method.
